Tax Manager

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the Tax Manager is responsible for keeping the elected Tax Collector informed of the performance of the Tax Collection Department, as well as the supervision and management of Tax Office staff whose general responsibilities include the custody, collection, and recording of all tax collection transactions. Serves as the Agent to the Secretary of State (DMV) for the vehicle registration program and maintains all records associated with motor vehicle registrations and perform required reporting to the state. Attend seminars and workshops related to Tax Collector duties and responsibilities. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field. At least five years of municipal tax collection supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be certified as a Municipal Tax Collector. Must be bondable. Full-time position, 35 hours per week.
