SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Tax Collector, performing a variety of routine office tasks.
*Performs a variety of routine tax office functions, including clerical tasks and processing payments. Work requires exercise of good judgement and decision making along with excellent organizational skills and prioritizing within the limits of standard procedures and general instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs moderately complex clerical work in support of the Tax Collector and Assistant Collector of Revenue.
• Serves as an information clerk by assisting the public through the function and operation of the Tax Department.
• Processes payments as required by Connecticut General Statutes and departmental procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years clerical experience.
• Experience with Quality Data and Accurint Software preferred.
