Administers, organizes and directs the activities of the Tax Collector’s Office as prescribed by State Statutes. Responsible for the timely collection, recording and depositing of all Town funds. Directly supervises assistants and administrative help as assigned. Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Three years of clerical bookkeeping, accounting or collection experience required. Knowledge of General Ledger beneficial. Cashiering experience is desirable. Must be certified as Municipal Collector of Revenue by the State of Connecticut. Must be bondable. Full-time position, 37 hours per week. Salary range: $62,750 – $79,000 DOE.
