The group discussed the importance of continuing to have the annual escrow meeting for the group and have Corelogic/Cotality and Lereta in attendance to address any issues/concerns. The group discussed the issue from last year with more people than the Zoom subscription allowed. With current Zoom subscription, 100 people are allowed, however it can be increased to 250 at least 48 hours in advance for a nominal fee. The group discussed possibly using Teams, since it does allow for more attendees. Todd Helems of Vernon and Rebecca Juchert-Derungs of Goshen (IT Committee) will look into it further.

e. Legislative

David reported (on behalf of Peter Juszczynski of Windsor Locks) that the Tax Collector bill has been placed on the house calendar (HB 5498). The session does not end for approximately another month. The plan is for Michael Dugan, CTx Lobbyist, to hold the Formal Legislative Update on June 3rd or June 10th.

f. Motor Vehicle

David reported (on behalf of Patti Kratochvil of Manchester) he received an email asking for the master list that was discussed at the CIVLS presentation. The list would provide explanations for certain key terms used by DMV in CIVLS. This question has been passed on to Patti to follow up with. David is also waiting for confirmation of what the annual CIVLS cost will be for municipalities. Additionally, CTx is trying to streamline with DMV an online form (on the CTx website) to fill out when new staff needs CIVLS access.

g. Fundraising

David (on behalf of Michele Wyatt of Colchester) shared the information regarding the Yard Goats Game on Saturday, July 11th. CTx will have their own section of the stadium. All are invited to attend. The cost will be $25/adults and $18/16 & under. Online registration on the CTx website is expected to open up on April 8th.

h. IT

Rebecca Juchert-Derungs of Goshen/Canaan and Todd Helems of Vernon — Todd reached out to his own IT Department and was told that CTx would not be able to purchase a laptop through the state contract list. The IT Department would have to purchase, and then CTx reimburse. They are still getting a quote, however, think it might be better just to make direct purchase. CTx does have tax exempt status with Best Buy from a previous purchase. Todd told the group he may not be available for the May Aqua Turf meeting. Amanda offered her laptop for the meeting. The group reviewed additional audio/visual needs and discussed Access Visual will work directly with the Aqua Turf.
